History

           In 1992 Brian and Kimberly Peil decided to plant Raspberries in Riverton, Wyoming-an experimental acre- to see if they would grow in Fremont County. As school teachers, it seemed logical to grow, harvest, and sell raspberries during the summer months then return to teaching in August. (They didn't know that fall raspberries ripened, traditionally, the first day of School!) 

          To onlookers, it appeared the Peils had planted a full acre of dead sticks, but by God's grace, in three years the raspberries produced literal tons of fruit. Wishing to honor the Lord, the business was bequeathed SonHarvest Seasons, acknowledging the Lord Jesus as God's son and asking for His harvest in every season. As died-in-the-wool entrepreneurs, Kim and Brian decided to try their hand at growing other foods like asparagus which was harvested the first year and is still available in May and June. So when the Peils, in 1997, planted pumpkins in their personal garden they were shocked that fall to have dozens more than they could ever use and offered them to friends and neighbors. These same friends told their friends and an idea for Wyomings greatest pumpkin patch was born.  Not knowing how well it would be received, the next fall they tentatively put up a sign and allowed folks to wander the fields in quest of their perfect pumpkin. It was a hit. By the end of the first season, Kim and Brian realized they had finished the first year of what would become a sweet and fun filled annual tradition for hundreds of Wyoming's families.
