About Us
Whether seeing the property from the aerial view afforded us by Google Earth or arriving to be greeted by a peacock, it is easy to see why Rocky Comfort Farms offers a unique adventure for Gadsden County. Located outside of Quincy, Rocky Comfort features over 230 acres of pastoral scenery, walking paths, a playground area for children, school field trips and booming agritourism selection of events for all ages.
You will fall in love with this beautiful property and everything we have to offer. If you come to enjoy a peaceful day away from your busy city life, we offer scenic nature trails through the woods, donkeys, cows, free-roaming peacocks, and a country gift shop. If you are bringing the family for a fun day in the country, plan for a trip to our giant pumpkin patch, millet maze, playground with a giant hay slide, picnic tables, bonfires for roasting s'mores and our special Christmas Tunnel of Lights event.
Debbie Parramore is the owner of Rocky Comfort Farms. She is carrying on her family's legacy of farming the land. Her business today is focused on agritourism to instill in today's generation an understanding and appreciation of our country's past and the trust and kinship that characterized the lives of her ancestors.
"We live a different lifestyle than our relatives did. Our lives are very busy, and many of us live in urban settings. A visit to Rocky Comfort Farms gives you a chance to enjoy an historic farm being preserved through our agritourism activities. Our beautiful property is conserved for generations to come and we hope to educate our 21st Century population about a life gone by, but not forgotten."
