The Plattsburgh Winter Farmers Market brings great local food to your table, directly from the producer. Most of our food is organically grown, but not certified organic because of the paperwork involved in certification and because you can ask the growers or visit their farms to see how your food is grown. We are a "producer-only" market, meaning vendors can sell only things they and their employees have actually made or grown. We do not buy in off the wholesale trucks and resell it to you! We do have a collaborative market table with carefully selected local products that the producers can't justify spending their Saturdays at the market but our customers want. For instance, Parker Family Maple Farm comes weekly during the fall, but in the winter they are busy with sugaring season so we offer their syrup on the collaborative table for you.
