Katy Trail State Park

5901 South Highway 163
573-449-7402

About Us:

Katy Trail State Park is now open for approximately 240 continuous miles from Machens to Clinton. Katy Trail State Park has been designed specifically for bicyclists and hikers. Horses are permitted on the western section from the State Fair grounds in Sedalia to Calhoun, a distance of approximately 26 miles. Although the trail is open, trail users should be especially watchful of rough areas on the trail due to washouts. The park is the nation's longest rails-to-trails project, stretching from the Machens to Clinton. There's enough variety to keep you interested with tree-shaded areas, open fields, impressive Missouri River bluffs and quaint communities along the way. With frequent trailheads and information about the areas you are visiting, the Katy has enough diversity, beauty and access for anyone.
