Freedom Run Dog Park

2098 Turning Wheel Lane

This is the second Dog Park the City of Franklin Parks Department has opened in the past year. Freedom Run is a 1 acre park that has a section for small dogs under 30 lbs and a big dog area for those over 30 lbs.

The park is closed from dark to dawn each day and all dogs must have current licenses, rabies tags, and vaccinations. Dogs must be over 4 months old.

The City of Franklin has a leash law that requires all dogs be on a 6 foot leash and under the control of the owner at all times. No person shall let their dog run off leash in any city park. It is also required that dog owners must clean up after their pets by collecting and disposing of the waste appropriately.

Dogs are prohibited from entering any lake, pond, stream or river on park property or on any tennis court, basketball court, or manicured turf sports field enclosed by a fence or wall or any area deemed off limits by the Director of Parks.
