Fossil Rim Wildlife Center

2299 County Road 2008
254-897-2960

Our Mission:

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is dedicated to conservation of species in peril, scientific research, training of professionals, creative management of natural resources, and impactful public education. Through these activities we provide a diversity of compelling learning experiences which invoke positive change in the way people think, feel and act environmentally.

Our History:

Until a quarter century ago, Fossil Rim was known as Waterfall Ranch, a 1,400 acre wild game ranch.

In the early 80s it began propagation of endangered species. Grevy's Zebra, African addax, and eventually, cheetah and African scimitar-horned oryx were included in the preservation efforts.

In just a few years, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center has been restored from its own near extinction to one of the most progressive conservation and education centers in the United States.
