Broemmelsiek Park

Broemmelsiek Park is 494 acres of natural beauty, equipped several large lakes for fishing and more than seven miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and equestrian use! It also features a 4.5 acre Off-Leash Dog Area with a large pond for dogs to splash around and play. This popular dog park was voted "Best Dog Park" in the region and it's the place for the annual Paws in the Park celebration!

It also features a unique Astronomy Viewing Area, which is the first of its kind in St. Charles County. Every Friday night, weather permitting, the skies come alive as members of the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri (ASEM) offer public viewings, beginning at dusk. Named in honor of the family of Jack Broemmelsiek, this park is rich in St. Charles County history.

The home where Jack Broemmelsiek and his family lived for more than 30 years is being transformed into a day-use visitors center. When completed, it will be open to the public during normal business hours and will feature a small meeting room for park guests to reserve.

In addition to the cluster picnic shelters available now for reservation, a new large group shelter area that will accommodate 300 guests is being constructed, along with another larger shelter in the park.

Park Hours are 7 a.m. to
one-half hour after sunset.
