Bodhaine Ranch

2315 Cable Road
530-644-1686

The Bodhaine Ranch is 15 acres located in what was called the Fruit Ridge district of El Dorado County, and dates from the late 19th century. The previous plantation of pears was replaced with apple about 1965. By 1982, when a modern commercial kitchen and dinning room were being constructed, the district had been re-named “Apple Hill.”

A major change was made in 2002 with a shift from conventional to organic farming practice. We now use pest and disease controls often found in nature and soil building methods and material that are environmentally friendly. All farming materials and practices conform to the National Organic Program and we are inspected annually by California Certified Organic Farmers, a certifier accredited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Our reputation for melt-in-your-mouth pie crusts with scrumptious, rich fillings have brought three generations of families to Bodhaine Ranch at harvest time.
