Blue Mound Arena was built by the Luverne Hockey Club in the fall of 1991.Â The $800,000 needed to partially fund the project was raised through donations and fund raisers sponsored by the Luverne Hockey Club.Â Throughout the winter months (October through March) the ice arena is used for Luverne Cardinal hockey games, figure skating, open skating, ice skating lessons, and other special activities.Â In the summer the building is used for in-line skating and floor hockey.
