Hunting regulations in Florida come fairly standard. However, it's your responsibility to brush up on your legal knowledge prior to hunting. In general, you can expect the following:
You are required to understand all hunting season dates and requirements prior to hunting.
Deer hunters and those accompanying deer hunters are required to wear a minimum of 500 square inches of hunter orange at all times while hunting on public lands.
Hunting hours are considered as one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
You are not allowed to use gasoline or other noxious substances todrive out wildlife.
Likewise, you may not use food or garbage to bait raccoons, coyotes, or foxes that intentionally creates a public nuisance.
Intentionally feeding bears, sandhill cranes, and pelicans is illegal.
You may not take wildlife or its eggs, nest, etc., at any time unless authorized under Title 68A, F.A.C.
