Packing away the tent for the cold season means that cabin camping opportunities abound. Snowmobiling, wildlife watching, skiing, and cozying up by the fire at the end of the day, cabin camping is the perfect way to soak up all of winter's bountiful activities all while staying warm and comfortable. From Alaska's North Pole to the sweeping mountains of Vermont, here are just a few of our favorite cabin camping destinations to visit this winter.

Moose Walk Cabin, North Pole, AK

The secluded Moose Walk Cabin gives you the best of everything. From amazing natural views and an abundance of wildlife to frozen ponds for ice skating and awesome snowmobiling trails, it's truly a winter wonderland. If you’re looking for a fun adventure during the day, walk a reindeer at the Running Reindeer Ranch in nearby Fairbanks or take a short trip across town for some dog sledding at Rod's Alaskan Guide Service. At the end of the day, kick back in your cabin and you just might get to see the celestial splendor of the Northern Lights right outside your window.
