Go kayaking Around Plum Island

Kayaking around Plum Island offers visitors the most beautiful views of this quaint Massachusetts area from the water. Coming in September, October, or November will give you a gorgeous weather and sights as well as less crowded beaches for a more personal time. This is a huge advantage over driving in, as you won't have to worry about parking. Not sure about kayaking around an island by yourself? No worries! Nearby Plum Island Kayak will take you on a tour. Paddle around with a group and see seals, a sunset and more. Tours are available through October.

Go ATVing in Pittsfield State Forest

Featuring 30 miles of trails, Pittsfield State Forest is the most popular place—and one of very few legal places—to go ATVing in the Bay State. Those with ATVs must park their vehicles at Potter Mt. Road Trailhead. In-state residents pay $5 for parking. All others pay $10. Don't forget to read up on all of the ATV rules and regulations before you head out there!
